East Georgia Radiology was founded in 2007 by Dr. George Piros and Dr. Khoa Nguyen. East Georgia Regional Medical Center CEO, Bob Bigley, approached these two Savannah-based radiologists about starting a group in Statesboro to service the hospital. The doctors agreed and East Georgia Radiology began. Two years later, Drs. Colin and Janine Dodds joined the group from Charleston, SC.
In July 2012, EGRMC purchased Statesboro Imaging Center, and the group welcomed two new radiologists; Dr. Ben Cahan and Dr. Kha Nguyen. Together, the doctors are able to do emergency x-ray; place stents in blocked arteries of extremities; fix thoracic and lumbar compression fractures; treat fibroids from the inside through vessels to save women from unnecessary surgery, image-guided biopsies, and breast MRI. The group has the best equipment and the professional expertise necessary to use it. Whatever location you choose, know you will be in good hands with our group.
